Accounting courses in social studies education programs are mostly related to counting operations and mathematical symbols. Mathematics is needed in accounting because both have similar characteristics, which together emphasize the use of logic, both use symbols, both have definite formulas whose results cannot be contested. Because there are many similarities in mathematics and accounting, so that mathematics can be said to be understood by students before studying accounting. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence between students' basic mathematical abilities towards learning outcomes. The results of this study are that there is no significant positive effect on basic mathematical abilities on accounting learning outcomes. So that it can be concluded that students do not need to worry if they do not like mathematics, it turns out they can still follow accounting courses well. Because calculations in accounting are basic calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. In addition, students also have to change their learning styles that rely solely on class meetings in the classroom without prior material preparation.
